Effective October 15, 2026
Paul Ferrante, Inc. (“Paul Ferrante,” “we,” “us”) operates paulferrante.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and retain personal information in connection with our website, trade accounts, product inquiries, showrooms, and related communications. It does not replace a separate employment privacy notice.
Notice at Collection
When you register, request a quote, email a tear sheet, contact us, or subscribe to product information, we collect the information needed to provide that service. The table below describes the categories collected and disclosed for business purposes during the preceding 12 months, their purposes and recipients, and our retention criteria. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not run retargeting or advertising pixels.
| Category and examples | Why we use it and who receives it | Retention criteria |
|---|---|---|
| Identifiers and contact information: name, business name, email, postal address, telephone number, account identifier, and IP address. | Provide and manage trade accounts; respond to inquiries; route quotes to your selected showroom; communicate about products and orders. Authorized staff and providers supporting hosting, forms, email, and account administration receive information as needed. | For the account or business relationship and the period reasonably needed for service, recordkeeping, security, and legal obligations. |
| Account credentials, including a password stored in hashed form. Account login credentials are sensitive personal information. | Authenticate you and protect your account. Access is limited to the systems and providers supporting authentication and security. | While the account remains available, subject to security, legal, and backup retention needs. |
| Commercial and communication information: products of interest, quote requests, order-related correspondence, support messages, tear-sheet recipients, and marketing preferences. | Provide requested information, process business inquiries, support orders and warranties, and send requested product updates. We disclose relevant requests to the showroom you select, which may be an independent business, and use email and customer-communication providers, including Constant Contact. | As reasonably needed to complete requests and business transactions, provide support, maintain consent and suppression records, resolve disputes, and satisfy applicable recordkeeping obligations. |
| Internet and device information: browser and device details, pages requested, timestamps, IP address, security events, and cookie or similar identifiers. | Operate and secure the website, troubleshoot errors, maintain sessions, and remember functional choices. Hosting, security, and website service providers process relevant information; for example, Wordfence supports site security. | For the period needed for the relevant session or preference, troubleshooting, security investigations, and legal requirements. See the Cookie Policy for storage details. |
We collect information directly from you, automatically through website operation, and from your authorized representatives or the showrooms involved in your inquiry or transaction. If you provide another person’s email address to send a tear sheet, provide it only when you have permission or another lawful basis. We use those details to provide the requested communication; that action does not itself subscribe the recipient to marketing.
How we use and disclose information
We use personal information for the purposes described above, to comply with law, establish or defend legal claims, prevent fraud and misuse, and administer our business. We may disclose information to professional advisers, authorities when legally required, and parties to a business transaction subject to appropriate protections. We do not use account credentials to infer characteristics about you or for unrelated advertising. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of people under 16.
Our website uses WordPress, WooCommerce, Gravity Forms, security and backup tools, and hosting on Amazon Web Services. These tools support site operation; their presence does not mean all providers receive every category of information. Independent showrooms and third-party sites may have their own privacy practices. We do not control information you provide directly to them.
Cookies, analytics, and external content
See our Cookie Policy for details. Google Analytics collection through our website’s Site Kit snippet is currently turned off. We will review applicable notices and choices before enabling optional analytics or advertising. External resources, such as Google Fonts, may receive your IP address and request information when your browser loads them. Following a social-media or other external link takes you to a service governed by its own policies.
Your California privacy rights
California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, subject to its exceptions: to know and access personal information, receive a portable copy where applicable, request deletion, correct inaccurate information, opt out of sale or sharing, limit certain uses of sensitive personal information, and receive equal treatment for exercising these rights. We use sensitive account credentials only as needed for authentication, security, and other legally permitted purposes, rather than for purposes that require a right-to-limit mechanism.
Submit a request through our Privacy Requests form, email webadmin@paulferrante.com, or write to the address below. You may also call our main business line, 310-841-0177; this is not a toll-free number. You do not need an account to submit a privacy request. An authorized agent may act for you, subject to verification of authorization.
We verify requests to know, delete, or correct using information reasonably appropriate to the request and the information we hold. We may ask you to confirm control of your email or provide relevant account or transaction details. Do not send passwords, payment-card details, or government identification through the request form. We do not require identity verification for a sale/sharing opt-out. If we cannot fulfill a request, we will explain the reason, subject to applicable law.
For requests to know, delete, or correct, we will confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond within 45 calendar days, with a permitted extension and notice when necessary. Applicable opt-out and sensitive-information limitation requests are handled as soon as feasible and within 15 business days. We do not charge for ordinary requests or discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
Because we do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, there is currently no such processing to opt out of. You may still submit a preference through the Privacy Requests form. A Global Privacy Control signal communicates an opt-out of sale/sharing; we will not treat it as permission to begin such processing. Legacy browser Do Not Track signals do not change essential website operation. Third parties whose sites you visit or whose external resources you load may process information under their own policies.
Marketing choices
Receiving product updates is optional. Use the unsubscribe link in a marketing email or contact us to change your preference. We may retain a minimal suppression record so we can honor your opt-out. Necessary account, security, and requested transaction communications may continue.
Retention and security
We retain information using the criteria in the table, considering its purpose, sensitivity, applicable law, and the need to resolve disputes and prevent misuse. We review deletion requests against those requirements. Backup copies may remain until their normal replacement or expiry and are not used for routine marketing. We use administrative and technical safeguards, including encrypted website connections and access restrictions. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
International visitors and children
Our business and hosting are based in the United States. Information provided from another country may be processed in the United States and other locations where our providers operate. We do not claim certification under the former Privacy Shield or the Data Privacy Framework. Where another jurisdiction’s privacy law applies, you may have additional access, correction, deletion, portability, objection, restriction, or consent-withdrawal rights and a right to complain to your local supervisory authority. Contact us to exercise applicable rights. We do not rely on continued website use as consent to an international transfer where the law requires a different safeguard.
The site is intended for adult trade and business users, not children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and address it.
Changes and contact
We will post changes here with an updated effective date and provide additional notice or obtain consent when required. Material changes do not retroactively authorize unrelated uses of previously collected information.
